Established Nature-Based Therapy CIC Seeking Long-Term Land Opportunity, Warwickshire
Established Nature-Based Therapy CIC Seeking Long-Term Land Opportunity, Warwickshire
Cathy currently runs a successful CIC, providing nature-based and animal-assisted therapy in Warwickshire. On 5 acres of land, they currently use horticulture and animals to provide bespoke and affordable therapy to all, as well as some wellbeing activities.
Cathy is looking for a new site that could allow the enterprise to expand and provide greater benefit for its beneficiaries. She is ideally looking for a 10-20 acre site within a reasonable distance from Warwick or Redditch, but she is open to looking further afield should the right opportunity arise.
Her ideal site would be easily accessible by car, must have water access, and would ideally include some buildings. However, Cathy is very flexible about working on land that requires development, should the relationship with the landowner be right.
In 3 years of running her current site, Cathy has had the support of her small, hardworking team to install new fencing, create vegetable patches and make various improvements to cater to the needs of clients. Cathy has developed a thriving horticulture section and wishes to expand this offer to produce more organically grown fruit and vegetables for the community. The enterprise currently houses 5 horses, and proper shelter would need to be developed for them in time. Cathy and her team have reclaimed and upcycled wherever possible, and are creative with how they use what’s available to them – for example, they have converted a horsebox to offer an area for making tea and coffee, for private conversations as well as a much-needed loo.
She and her team are experienced in land management and working with animals, bringing years of practical experience and academic credentials. Cathy is a qualified counsellor and is in the process of developing a gold standard for equine therapy through a University, something which she feels passionately about in order to regulate and bolster the industry.
Through the CIC, Cathy has developed great relationships with local councils, and has managed to gain support for planning at her current site, allowing additional infrastructure to be installed. She is well-networked in the Warwickshire area, and also has relationships in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and Oxfordshire. As a good relationship builder, Cathy is confident she can build new relationships wherever she finds her next opportunity.
Cathy sees a bright future for the enterprise, and is looking for a supportive landowner who understands the purpose of this organisation. Securing a larger site with long-term security is fundamental to her vision, providing the stability needed for the CIC to flourish and continue its work for years to come.

The Matching Process
How It Works
We make it simple to connect - whether you’re offering land or looking for it.
Use the arrows below to move through the stages and see how it works.
Step 1
Getting to Know You
Through our registration process, you’ll tell us what you’re looking for in a landmatch, share a bit about yourself, and learn more about how the programme works. Our FAQs page is a great place to find answers to many of the questions you might have along the way.Once you’ve registered, your regional coordinator will get in touch to arrange a call. This is a chance to talk through your ideas in more detail, gather the information we need, and answer any questions you have about the landmatching process.
Step 2
Support Package
Whether you’re a landseeker or a landowner, we’ll provide the tools, resources, and peer support in order to prepare you for a match and plan your next steps. Our resource library includes expert guides written by land agents and consultants, along with links to useful information and supportive organisations.Using the information we’ve gathered, we’ll work with you to create a tailored listing for our noticeboard. Landmatch England will then promote your listing through our networks and social media channels, giving you the best chance of finding the right match.
Step 3
Finding your Match
Your regional coordinator will be working behind the scenes to find the best possible match for your requirements. When they identify a potential match, they’ll help you exchange more details to see if there’s genuine potential.Next comes the introduction — this might start with a call and, if it feels right, move on to a site visit. Your regional coordinator will guide and support you through these first meetings, making sure both sides get the most out of the experience.
