Two Large Blocks of Arable, Grazing and Horticultural Land in Barnstaple, Devon
Two Large Blocks of Arable, Grazing and Horticultural Land in Barnstaple, Devon
This organic mixed beef farm is offering the opportunity to set up an independent business on 15 acres of gently sloping south facing land near Barnstaple, Devon across three fields with road access. This could be used for field scale horticulture, small scale arable or a small herd of livestock. There is also a larger block of 100 acres available, this is currently all down to grass half of which is arable land. The larger block includes a barn as seen in the pictures. There is also the possibility of integrating an arable enterprise utilising a phase of the existing crop rotation on the farm. The land is currently under arable cultivation with a grass clover ley in rotation. As this is an organic certified farm, the land on offer is also under organic certification and has been since 1966. The soil type is medium loam over shillet.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start an organic land based enterprise and take on more land as they grow. This could be a long term arrangement if the relationship between landowner and landseeker is successful. This offer would suit a landseeker starting out with field scale veg, arable and/or livestock requiring up to 100 acres to make it work.
