A one acre, south-facing, gently sloping plot, offered for intensive veg growing with the option of a further 2-3 acres for field vegetables on slightly acid sandy loam soil. Currently grazed with cattle on newly planted herbal leys for pasture and also cut for hay. The site has had inputs in the last five years and was historically permanent pasture until about ten years ago; since then it has been intensively farmed with arable crops.

The land owner is looking to work in partnership with a market gardening enterprise to complement his beef, egg, and grain business. He anticipates a single lease term would be five years with the cost per acre open to negotiation. Facilities available are water supply, parking and there are plans in place to develop buildings that will be available to the tenant. The land owner is open to other infrastructure being installed such as a polytunnel, subject to any necessary restrictions.

There may be accommodation available in the form of a lodgings and in the future a possible agricultural workers dwelling subject to consents. There is also the potential for further employment on the farm managing livestock.
