Hole Farm is a 30-acre smallholding offering an exciting opportunity for an ambitious land-seeker to establish an organic farming, growing, or mixed-use enterprise.
Located in a traditional hamlet just 13 miles from the lively market town of Shrewsbury, the farm was previously run as an organic dairy farm. Its owners have now relocated and hope to provide someone else with the opportunity to get started and run their own enterprise.
The holding includes several buildings, including a large farmhouse currently used for short-term holiday rentals, along with a range of farm buildings that would benefit from renovation. A spacious barn could provide livestock housing, and a cold store is already in reasonably good condition. There is also potential to develop a farm shop in the future, with easy access possible directly from the road.
The majority of the land is divided into six fields separated by established hedgerows, and are primarily south and west-facing. The land has been recently grazed by a neighbour’ cows; but with deep, fertile soil it may be ideal for market gardening or vegetable production. The landowner is committed to ensuring the land continues to be managed organically and believes the growing demand for high-quality, nature-friendly food from nearby communities would support a thriving organic business.
This is a wonderful opportunity for a tenant looking to develop an ambitious and environmentally responsible enterprise. The successful tenant will benefit from a stable land agreement, a commercially valuable farmhouse, support from an experienced and knowledgeable landowner, and positive existing relationships with neighbouring farms.
