1-acre for a horticultural enterprise near Huntingdon

On offer a near 1-acre space near Huntingdon where the landowners are open to ideas, but feel the available space would be most suited to a market garden, small-scale nursery or CSA scheme type scheme. The land is flat, set on clay soil and is stock-fenced around the perimeter.

Once a small family farm that, at its peak, kept its inhabitants busy tending 500 sheep and 3000 turkeys each year. Later, circumstances demanded diversification and equine livery became the main focus for almost two decades. During the pandemic years the farm moved into a more restful phase; its 18 acres of historic permanent pasture now support a small flock of sheep while providing a cut of hay each summer and the farmhouse is still home to the same family, but is also run as a B&B.

There are a variety of buildings on the site that could be put to various uses, some in better condition than others and the owners would be open to discussing investment in infrastructure i.e. barn renovations, rabbit proof fencing, polytunnel etc.

There is also a 2 bed cottage on site that, depending on availability, could be combined into an agreement.
